Adventures - River Kayaking
Your river ride by kayak takes you along the White River starting at The Old Spanish Bridge built by Jamaica’s original European inhabitants in the seventeenth century. From here you paddle your way through cascading rapids and crystal clear pools under a canopy of lush tropical vegetation.
Halfway through your journey comes the Arawak Gazebo nestled in the trees on the bank of the river. Here visitors may be seen wandering the grounds or swimming in one of the river’s largest pools as you float by. Then it’s down the river again through the breathtaking Flipping Rapids, the Spinning Rapids, the enchanting Blue Lagoon and the deep Ackee Hole Lagoon.
Finally, the adventure comes to an end in the serenity of the Bamboo Cathedral where giant Bamboo trees arch over the water leaving the river in perpetual shade. Here, you disembark unto a short boardwalk to enter the beautifully landscaped gardens of the Village of Flowers where you can browse our gift shop, Island in the Sun, or listen to Caribbean music while refreshing yourself at the Parrot Bar.
